How do you properly remove the primary cover from 1985 Harley Sportster 1000?  

Answer
First, drain the oil from the primary. Next, remove the cover for the clutch adjuster and remove the adjuster. Next, loosen the chain adjuster, located under the primary cover. Now remove the bolts holding the cover in place and it will come off
