Motorcycle Repair: Warm-up, silly question, clymer

This may seem a silly question, but, is there a proper way to warm-up a motorcycle, or is there a specific way for different makes & models? I have an 82' Kawasaki KZ550LTD and no owners manual.

Hi Patrick,
           I suggest running the choke until it will idle by itself and then turn the choke off.Bring it to a operating temp of atleast 120f before operating.A owners manual can be purchased through clymer for a reasonable price and it is handy to have for maintaince.Glad i could help.
