Motorcycle Repair: 1966 Honda 305 shift shaft broken, google search, bike bandit

Question
Hello. I have a 1966 honda dream. The shift shaft end where it connects to the shifter broke off. I am not sure how much work it would be to replace the whole shaft. i have rebuilt a 1969 cb160 and a 1966 cb77 top ends but not a dream. i am not afraid to get my hands dirty but I am not sure how much work this presents. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

Answer
Hi Francisco,

I have no experience with the Dreams. I worked with Honda four years and never had the opportunity to service a Dream.

You can view the CL77 microfiche on Bike Bandit.

There's several decent websites dedicated to the Dream. Perform a Google search using various keywords Dream, 1966 Dream, Honda Dream, etc...

AllExperts "Bill Silver" would be the one to ask. He's difficult to reach. Check out Bill's Honda books... type keyword Bill Silver.
