ok, i just got this bike its nice, but the starter sounds bad, i think there is a recall on it but im not sure, could you find out please

You can find out by going to yamaha's webs site and locating the warranty and recall page.Type in you vin number and it will give all the info about your bike and the work that has been done to it by a yamaha dealer.being a 81 i would think that the recall has been done  but you never know.
