Question
I have recently rebuilt my transmission .  The problems I am having is I have two thrust washers left over from the transmission and can not figure out where they go.  I can not get the bike to shift from reverse to neutral without pulling up on the shifter with my hand using a lot of force.  when in first gear it goes find into neutral.  (clutch is adjusted to book specs )

Answer
Hi Bill,

You'll have to verify the location of the thrust washers and install them. View parts microfiche at:

Thrust washers are load bearing washers as well as spacers. They are important to the function of the shafts and gears.

Other problems may exist preventing the hard shifting. I would have to inspect the parts to know.
