Hi Brandon, There is no manual time setting on the Twin Cams. If your bike is an efi (fuel injected) take it to the nearest dealer to make sure the latest calibration download is programmed to your bike. If it is carburetor try changing your main and slow jets. Though you are hearing valve train noise, do take it to a shop to have them listen, too be safe.
