Motorcycle Repair: TAIL LIGHT, kawasaki zx, electrical diagnosis

Question
I RIDE A 2006 KAWASAKI ZX-6R. I JUST NOTICED MY TAIL LIGHT WON'T STAY ON, HOWEVER, IT DOES WORK WHEN I BRAKE AND WHEN I USE MY TURN SIGNALS SO BLOWED BULBS CAN BE RULE OUT. I CHECKED FOR LOOSE CONNECTIONS IN THE TAIL LIGHT BUT I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. ANY IDEA ON WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING THIS INCONVENIENCE?

Answer
Hi Jonathon,

I suspect one of the following:

A defective ignition switch or a defective circuit board component (semi-conductor) in the control module.

I recommend that you have a local Kaw shop perform electrical diagnosis for you.
