Motorcycle Repair: 1994 evo repair and modification, crane hi, stock ignition

Mike, I have 3 questions for you. First, My 94 FLSTC started making a knocking noise when I come to a stop. I dont here it when I start it or when its warming up but only when I've ridden for a while. Other than this it rides fine. Second and thirdly , I've been thinking about adding a Crane HI 4 ingnition system and a cam just to give a little more performance. I would like your opinion please and suggestions. Thanks!

You need to find the knocking first. Its hard for me to determine what it is without hearing it. I would check the rollers that ride on the cam first. If thats not it then your going to have to pull the top end and start looking for problems. Knocking can be coming froma  rod bearing.
On the cam and ignition. the crane will not do much more than your stock ignition, but changing the cam will give you more performance. I would go with a Andrews EV27 cam.
