Motorcycle Repair: 1978 yahama xs 1100e, bikebandit com, vent hoses

Question
Hi Mark, Well, I have hesitated in contacting You, but, I definitely need HELP !!!
ok here goes, Bought the above bike, and Iam trying to restore it.
Was sitting for 7 1/2 years then someone bought it, & put new plugs in it, that was all, & naturally, they were set wrong, .045, dont even want to ask the guy, why, lol.
So, checked out electrical, & the rec./reg. was shot. Put another one in, & that seems fine.
Now, carbueration, yesterday took the mikuni mdl. bs34-112h7-00 carb apart, did not seperate from the rails, and brackets, just cleaned up everything, looks good now.
here is the delema that I have now. Have a Climer m411 book on the scoot, but ALL the fuel, AND vacuum hoses were off, & I cannot tell by the book what goes where. Tried yamaha site, but, to old a bike, so, no luck there.
What I need is info on how to set the carb adjustments, before I remount the carb., so, I can MAYBE get it to start.
I picked up a mercury syncroniser, so, if I get to that point, I can get the carb more precise.
Oh, checked the compression, & it is, suprisedly within tolerance, and all are very close in readings. The bike has 28,000 miles on it, so, I think this might be a good point. I think it is a monster, but, it is something that I think might be a decent scoot, if I can get it goin.
So, can You send Me som pics./description of where the fuel, & vacuum lines go, & maybe turns on the set screws on the carbs ??
I thankYou for Your time, & consideration in the above matter, & I await Your reply.
Thanks, & keep the wind in Your face, Andy

Answer
Hi Andy,

If I recall, there are two atmospheric vent hoses for the float bolws located on t-fittings between carbs 2&3 and 3&4.

There should be a vacuum hose from the the rear of carb 2, which connects with the fuel petcock.

A fuel supply hose should be largest of all.
