Motorcycle Repair: oooops!, honda 750 shadow, bill silver

Question
ok well i left the choke out for the last couple of days (started it up for a friend and shut it off before i pushed the choke back in)and didn't realize it...i have never done that before except for just using the choke for starting in cold conditions!  i have a honda 750 shadow and it is fairly new....anyways i cleaned the plugs because they seemed a bit fouled out after trying to start it today....so the bike now sounds like pure crap....i got it to start with the choke out but as soon as i push the choke in ...it died!  it feels like it is only running on half it's cylinders......what should i do?  do i need to drain the carb or clean it or what?  it is a newer model i...i think it's a 2004 or 05.....it was only a few days i left the choke pulled out but i am not sure if that will affect it permanently.....thanks for helping out...i was reading a few articles and thought it could be a simple solution of draining the existant fuel from the carb!  is this a common screw up?

Answer
Chad, once spark plugs are fuel fouled, it is very hard to get them unfouled, even when they look cleaner. Just pop in a fresh set and it will probably be fine again. Do NOT let your bike sit for more than 2 weeks without running the some fuel through the carbs. The new gasolines with alcohol are causing huge problems by plugging up idle jets in motorcycle carbs.
