Motorcycle Repair: rims & tires, low profile tires, rims tires

I have a 96 wideglide can I go up a taller rim size and to a low profile tire without changeing anything and if so what size

What you are going to have to do is some measuring. Going taller means you will closer to the fender, taking a chance of hitting the fender with the tire.
All low profile tires are not the same height, so you need to check the height of the tire you want to put on.
Start by measuring the space between the tire and fender. Now sit ont he bike and have semebody take the same measurement. That is the space you have to work with. remember that it get lower when you hit a pothole. Take the rim you want to go with and then add the height of the tire and see where you are.
