Question -
My AC unit does not turn on. When I turn it on at the thermostat it acts like it is trying to start but it will not. It acts as if it is not getting enough power. You can hear it start but that is all that it does. I thought that we just had low voltage while camping because we tried the AC before leaving home just briefly and it did turn on. Once we returned home I tried it again and it still will not start up.
Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks Dennis

Answer -
I need to know if this is a wall thermostat or on the ceiling assembly

Answer
After experiencing a low voltage problem at the park, it sounds like your upper control board has sustained damage from the low voltage.  Also check for any wires that could be burnt or melted at the compressor and capacitors, be sure to unplug the unit before attempting anything and don't touch the top of the capcitors! you could also have a blown capacitor.
