Motorcycle Repair: carboretor, honda oem parts, honda 550 four

We just picked up a 1978 honda 550 four k and the carberator is apart can you help me find a diagram on putting it back together?

Just how far apart are they? Down to the last nut and bolt or are the jets and floats removed? The illustrations on the above website are not all that wonderful. If you have a bucket full of loose parts, you better get a manual to help guide you back together again. If the parts are in poor condition anyway, start looking for a whole replacement rack assembly on Ebay or on the www.sohc4.us site.
You will have to get new packing kits at the very least for the carbs. Try the Keyster kits or from another Japanese aftermarket company. Honda OEM parts are the best, but you will spend a LOT for a handful of gaskets and O-rings.

Note that 77-78 carbs are completely different than those on the previous 500-550 machines. There is even a different calibration specification from 77 to 78!
