Motorcycle Repair: cutting out baffles, performance exhaust system, rear plates

Question
how do i cut the baffles out of my stock exhaust on a 1998 honda vt1100c2

Answer
Hi Scott,

I do not recommend cutting the baffles out of the exhaust system. This will de-tune performance and make noise. It could result with burned exhaust valves.

Most drill holes in the rear plates to get added noise. This is not recommend either.

You should wait until you can buy a performance exhaust system and do it properly.

In any case, any modifications to the intake, carbs, exhaust (and some engine mods) requires changes to all the other mentioned areas.
