Is it possible to fit the rg250 engine into the frame of an rg125? They would both be 1987 models. I appreciate any help you can give me on this.

Hi David,

You're lucky to own and ride the RG's. That's not easily done here in the USA.

I've never performed this engine swap, though I suspect it will work with a bit of fabrication.

I've installed a TZ250 L model engine into a YSR50 frame!!! Yup. It was a suicide ride. It was similar to riding a hopped up TZ750.

I've also installed a YZ80 into the YSR frame. It had managable power.

Why not just go with the RG500 engine? lol... The RG500 works well in a Yamaha Banshee frame. Do that one, too.
