Can you put an engine and transmission from a 76 sporty on a 72 sporty frame?

'72 and earlier frame is different from '73 and later.  But both use the same rear engine mount.  Front engine mount holes in the frames are very slightly different so you might be able to make it work depending on which front motor mount brackets you use.  '72 and '76 frames also have a different neck rake by about 1/2 degree.  Wouldn't really be noticeable.  But the gas tank mounting brackets, oil tank mounts, sidecover, fender strut mounts etc. are all different.
