Motorcycle Repair: atv will not Run, kawasaki bayou 220, 4 wheeler

Question
I Have a 1988 Kawasaki bayou 220 4 wheeler it was making a noise by the hand start recoil I removed it and found the bolts behind the mego where sheared I replaced them and now it will not run I check fire and all the wiring it all checks good it will start and run for 1 or 2  seconds but if you apply the gas it will die and it will only start when it wants to used carb cleaner changed fuel and I have the repair manual HELP !!

The pull starter shouldn't affect the ignition. Was the ATV stored or not started for any periods? What's the condition of the air filter? Describe the appearance of the spark plug. Any other details you can provide are helpful.Reply to the above questions and we'll go from there.
