my bike keeps cutting off after it gets warmed up and when I rev it up its starts to sound like its flooding out.I took the carbs off and cleaned the insides but those black gaskets refuse to seat properly back in the carbs.pleses help.

Answer
Daniel, Not a vintage Honda question, is it? Really not my brand, but can give generalities, plus a link to get you headed towards those who love these bikes.http://www.kgrant.co.uk/nav.htm

The black gaskets are probably being affected by today's new alcohol fuels. Try soaking them in hot water to get some of the fuel out of them, or get new carb kits.

You didn't say if this happened all at once or gradually. The bike has a petcock that could have partially restricted holes for fuel flow. There is a fuel pump and fuel filter in the system that would need a peek.

Check the manifolds to see if any are getting cracked and leaking air. Check all vacuum hoses from the carb/intake system and see what they are connected to and if those are parts that can affect carburetion.

Always do your trouble shooting with a fully charged battery and fresh set of plugs. The plug will tell you a lot about how the engine is running, if they are either cooked on the tips or blackend from fuel fouling or oil consumption.
