Motorcycle Repair: 94 1200 sportster, burning oil, exhaust valve

Hi Mike.i have removed the cyl heads and barrals due to burning oil problem and my question is on re assembly after cutting the valves what do i do about tappet clearances as there seems to be no way of adjusting.i take it there hydraulic,if so do i need to exhaust the oil out of the followers or just slap it back together

Since you have hydrolic lifters they need to be blead or you might hit a valve. once you have the bottom rocker box installed rotate the motor so that the front exhaust valve is open and then let it sit for aboout 15 minutes. this will bleed it. Then go to the next one and do the same thing. Do this until you have done all four
