Tires: Tire width change, r15 tires, tire failure

I have a car with 205 65 r15 tires on it. I was given 4 185 65 r15 tires. will they fit on my rim? this car is for work purposes driven only about 20 miles per day for 4 days a week and i dont want to spend a lot of money for brand new tires.

No.  That would be going down significantly in load carrying capacity and that greatly increases the risk of a load related tire failure which sometimes has tragic results.  Remember the Firestone thing some years back?  The same type of failure!
