Yes, I believe the vents are in the air cleaner.

-----Question-----
I have a '98 EVO that has been modified with Branch Heads, JE pistons, Mikuni carb & running Thunderheader 2-1 heads/pipe.  My oil bag is splattered with oil whenever I push it (75 mph, head winds, hills, trying to keep up with twin cams).  I've been told this "blow by" is expected and that the "fix" is a recovery system that will collect the excess oil at the air cleaner and route it down through a tube that drains in front of my rear tire.  THAT doesn't sound too safe!  Any other solutions?
Thanks,
RT
-----Answer-----
Is your vent for the motor going to the air cleaner?
Mike

Answer
Your butterfly valves in the rocker boxes have become weak and letting oil come through. You can replace the butterfly valves and also they make kits to route the vented air tot he bottom of the bike, thus not letting the air and small amount of oil go to the air filter. It would be routed to the bottom of the bike
Good luck and happy riding
