Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki Motorcycle, suzuki rf, suzuki motorcycle

Question
I have a 1993 Suzuki RF 600R that was in good running condition.  I left the tail light on one night and drained the battery.  I tried bump starting it (down a parking ramp in my parking lot) and it did not start.  Tried it because it worked with my old car that had a bad battery for a bit.
After charging the battery the bike will not start, it once in a while grumbles (almost catches) and will backfire occasionly.  I have drained the battery now trying to start it.
I think it might be flooded and I will try tomorrow with a full charge to start it with the fuel petcock off to clear out the fuel and start anew.
Could it be the spark plugs were fouled?
Is there a chance trying to bump start it messed something up?
Is there anything else I should check?
