Motorcycle Repair: neutral safety switch, honda 350 rancher, neutral safety switch

Question
mItch.

I have a 05 honda 350 rancher and unfortunately I live in the Alaska Bush and have no repair shops close.  when I turn the ignition switch on and the machine is in neutral the green indicator light does not come on and the machine will not start, not even with the pull start.  I was told it could be a grounding problem and it can be rewired or it is the internal safety switch in the engine.  Have you ever heard of this problem?  I have eliminated any bulb, fuse, or starter problems. Can you help?

thanks,
Matt

Answer
matt take a pair of booster cables gound one to the body take the hot hook it to the wire on the starter , with the switch on if it doesnt start then you have a short ,evidently yur switch is no sending fire to the starter or other components. if you nee more help im here ok
