Motorcycle Repair: kawasaki z1000ltd, plug cap, cam chain

Question
Hi my bike only runs on three cylinders,No 3)I have tried cleaning the carburetors more than once,  I have cleaned the plugs reset them bought new ones, there is a spark but I have noticed that when the engine is running I pull off the cap I get a shock off the cylinder not the cap, on the others I don't, so I changed the coils over but that didn't work, could it be a condenser or something I do not know no if there is one on this bike as there is no contact points.
I have had the timing done recently because I had a new cam chain fitted, this only happened when I put some red x in the cylinders to clean them out,

Answer
Hi Mike,

If the carburetors are working properly, I suspect the plug wire or the plug cap (or both) on the non-firing cylinder are leaking current. This is known as flashover.

Run a screwdriver along the suspect lead and watch for an arc. You can mist the suspect lead with water to check for leaks, too.

Try replacing the lead or find another coil.
