Nissan Repair: 95 Nissan Sentra Dash lights, nissan sentra, fuse panel

Question
I have a 95 Sentra and the dash lights just stopped working. I am referring to the lights that illuminate the dash when the head lights are turned on. We have checked the fuses. Fuse panel (inside the car) does not indicate that there is a fuse for the dash lights.

I stopped by the Nissan dealer and they provided a wiring diagram and indicated they thought it might be an electrical problem but they did not look at the car.

I have not had any problems until they just stopped working.

The lights that are integrated into he A/C switch and the Rear Defroster still light up.

Thank you for any advise.

Answer
Dellos,

If the dimmer does not brighten or dim the other lights then replace the dimmer.  If this is not the case then you are going to need to remove the cluster and check the circuit feeding the lights.  Most of the time it is the dimmer on the dash that controlls the brightness of the dash lights.
