Motorcycle Repair: santee y pipes for shovel, john reed, sorry man

sorry man i didnt give you enough info, its the bracket that came with the pipes. it has the mount grooves on the 2 pipes and 2 holes on the bracket,that mounts somewhere near the tranny or whereever, just cant seem to figure it out, unless i have to customize the bracket. i thought it would just bolt on some where, or is it universal on all shoves? thanx for the responce bro. again help me if ya can.

i have an 82 fxr 5 speed and i bought the 2in santee y pipes by john reed, what 2 bolts do i use to install the pipes, its kickin my but man, help me out if you can

Not sure what two bolts you are talking about. Are you talking about the ones that mount hte pipes to the heads?

Checkyour pipes and make sure they are for a shovel and your year. You might have gotten the wrong ones. If they are correct then you might have to make a mounting bracket for them. You can also try contacting Santee and see what they have to say abotu mounting them
