Towing Issues: paint put on by tow co., marker type, ebony black

recently purchased a beautiful 91 cadillac convertible from junk yard.  It has orangish-pink paint on side -towing marks? How do i remove this paint without damaging car finish (ebony black)?  want to get it off asap don't want shadows from paint.   thanks!

I take it you are talking about some kind of markings which reference the vehicle for some paperwork or something like that..

Now the paint could be some of the marker type stuff which can come off with Windex or some other orange cleaner type cleaner..

Without really seeing the markings or knowing what they use I would suggest that you talk to a body shop and see what they suggest to use.
