Motorcycle Repair: CA95 Benly & Touring 150, rear fender, bill silver

Question
Where is the serial Number on these bikes And are there any repair/owner manuels for these, Have one but not sure what it is, or what year.
Thanks

Answer
Michael, I'll assume you are looking for the frame serial number, as the engine number is right on top of the crankcase on the left side.
For some odd reason, Honda stamped the frame numbers on the left side of the frame in an area just behind the left side cover, going towards the rear fender opening.
I wrote a little story for the VJMC club on Benlys and this is an extract of it, covering the year models...

Benly serial numbers through the years:
1959= C(A)92 or 95-9XXXXX
1960= C92 or 95-0XXXXX
1961= C92 or 95-1XXXXX
1962= C92 or 95-2XXXXX
1963= C92 or 95-3XXXXX
Early 1963 marked the changeover from the flat-sided mufflers and also brought in the new redesigned fuel tank, kneepads and tank side panels.
1964 CA95 CA95-4XXXXX
1965 CA95 CA95-5XXXXX

There are often copies of shop manuals and parts books on Ebay. Check with the www.vjmc.org site for other Benly members.
