Motorcycle Repair: starter solenoid, starter solenoid, yamaha xv750

Question
My 93 Yamaha XV750 won't start & solenoid become hot while battery connect (just bought the bike & don't know what's happen before). I can start the bike with jump direct positve power to starter & the bike run good. DO you know what's wrong ? Thanks

hello, and thanks for choosing me to answer your question.
change out the starter solenoid.go to the solenoid take a screwdiver touch both big screw together, the bike should start. if it doesn't you need to change out the solenoid and possibly the starter relay. try this and e-mail me again.ok.
