Motorcycle Repair: service issues 1999 heritage, compression check, stock bike

Mike - I live in Florida and am considering buying a 1999 Heritage with 55k miles.  I'm wondering if there are any known issues with this model?  At 55k miles, am I buying problems?  If well maintained, how many miles can one expect to get from this engine.  The bike looks nice - is $11,000 reasonable?  Thank you - Harold

As far as I know there have been know problems with this model. With 56K miles has it ever had a top end redone? If not then I would have a compression check.
If well maintained, Ihave seen up to 100,000 miles ona  harley. The book price is about 10,500. This is for stock bike, so if there are any accesories on the bike then it would be higher.
