Motorcycle Repair: timing chain on suzuki 400cc Bandit, bike repair shop, motorcycle engine

Question
I have a quite loud rattle at the top end of my motorcycle engine, it gets worse as the engine gets hotter and I suspect it could be a timing chain problem (although I am not sure) my question is, "do suzuki engines have a timing chain tensioner?" The bike is about 10 years old and goes well, no misfiring, all 4 pots perform the same (to the best of my knowledge) and I am not using oil. any help would be appreciated as I live in Thailand and am about 300 kms from the nearest decent bike repair shop.

Answer
yes they do have a cam chain tensioner. you might want to chk it first do not rev engine to much you could damage internal parts, you could also have a a screw missing off of the cam gear i have seen it before causing the rattle. good luck hope this helps you. dont forget to give me a rating . thanks and keep riding
