Motorcycle Repair: K5 GSXR750 power not coming on, switch problem, battery terminals

Hi Mitch

Please can you help. This morning I tried to start my bike. I turned the key and absolutely nothing came on. My bike was dead. I checked to see if the battery terminals were connected but that was not the problem. My bike is just 6 months old. It just happened all of a sudden. Do you know what the problem might be?

hello and thanks for letting me answer yur question,
when the ignition switch was on you said no power, that is definitely a fuse or a switch problem. to check this take a wire run it from the positive on the battery to yur positive side of switch turn key on, see if any thing happenns if lights come on etc.then you are getting power from the battery chk all fuses, you should have a main fuse to the ignition make sure no lights were left on , and the switch was off. hope this helps you. also before doing this turn switch on take a test light see if you have power going to switch. good luck and keep ridin.
