I have a 1.4kw terry comp starter. It seems that the bendix has burnt out. How do i replace the bendix?

Answer - It is a 95 bad boy. Also, i have a 127 Ultima, I use the compression release every time i start the bike. The starter motor turns but it never engages the cluch.

What is it doing that you think the bendix is burned out and what year is it?

Answer
As to the 95 bike. Fist make sure you test the starter and the bendix. If the bendix is bad then get a rebuild kit. remove the cover from the bendix and you will see the parts in the kit that need replaced.
On the 127, check to make sure the jackshaft is ingaging the clutch gear. You jackshaft might be broken.
