Motorcycle Repair: lots of oil out the breather, surgical steed, harley evo

Question
Just purchased a 97 Surgical Steed with only 3000mles on it. It has an early harley evo bottom end with a Rev Tech top end, 100 inch motor. Rode it on a couple of short runs 2-3 miles. It sat for 3 months then puked oil out the breather when started. I took the oil pump off and cleaned up the seat and replaced the check ball. I gave the spring just a very light stretch. Now after riding several miles it started puking out the breather and at idle, lots of oil. There is a oil filter mounted at the front of the motor between the tubes. The adaptor required the small thread filter for the sporster, so I install a fitting so I could run the harley 40 micron filter. That helped some but is still excesive. I also had to replace two oil lines, one from the pump to the filter and from the filter to the oil tank. The bike came with five sixteents hoses and the two I changed I replaced with three eights. I cant see how this could cause a problem. The problem might have been there from day one, but dont know. Need help. Thanks in advance. It is lower breather not a head breather, with a harley oil pump.

Answer
Check your lines to make sure they are not pinched or bent. make sure the breather is not plugged. If you are still having a oil problem you need to check the oil pump to make sure the return side is working, the key is not sheered or the oil pump is not scorred
Good luck and happy riding
