Motorcycle Repair: Indian spirit starter failure, indian motorcycles, indian spirit

Hi, Have 2002 Indian Spirit, dealer changed starter at 400 miles,Now starter has failed again
at 800 miles.Why is it failing so quickly?
Should it be replaced with with something better?
What are the steps for replacing this?
