Motorcycle Repair: 1988 FXRS Primary Chain Fluid, tank drain, plug drain

MIke,
You were dead on about the oil tank drain
hose, I must be stupid...Now can you tell
me about the lube system on my primary chain,
Is there oil that needs to be changed and if
so how do you get to it?. BTW Thanks, John

Answer
Look at he back of the inner primary and you will see a drain plug. Drain the oil from there. After it is drained remove the inspection cover in the center of the primary cover. With the bike sitting upright put in the primary oil to about the bottom of the inspection cover.
