Motorcycle Repair: engine casing, search ebay, shively

Question
I just purchased a wrecked 96 katana 750.  It appears to have more damage than originally thought. The bike was layed down on the right side.  It is the crankcase cover area that was completely gone and it appears to have broke part of the area that it bolts to, because there is a little chunk missing.  Is this something that can be repaired?  I have a friend that said I might need a motor casing, if so, where could I find this.

Thank you,

Sean

Answer
Hi Sean,

The damaged parts need to be inspected to know if they can be repaired. Have a local machine shop or welder view the parts.

If the engine crankcases need to be replaced, search eBay and other on line resources.
