Motorcycle Repair: Front Brake Cable Removal, honda trail, adjustment nut

Question
I just bought two 1974 Honda Trail CT90s. How do I remove the front brake cable?  I need to replace all tires, tubes, and some of the cables.

The cable goes thru the bracket on the front brake drum cover and I don't know how to get it from the bracket.

Answer
Kirk, Remove the adjustment nut (14mm), the cable joint ferrel and the spring. Once you have all that off the end of the cable, the whole cable housing will withdraw from the backing plate, then take the cable off the handlebar end lever, with the adjuster back all the way in. Install in the reverse order.
