Motorcycle Repair: Clutch cable installation 2005 Road King, screaming eagle pipes, k n air filter

Question
Mike,

I own a 2005 Road King Classic and I'm in the process of replacing the clutch cable with a barnett SS cable. The clutch lever is straight foward however, the other end I'm not sure about.  Do I need to rremove the cover? What do I need to do to install the cable at the other end?

Also, I just installed Screaming Eagle pipes on my bike and a K&N air filter kit. I also have a module for my bike P/N 32959-04B which I believe it upgades me to a stage 1. Is that true? It is a cartride that just plugs in. Question, where can I find it on my bike? Is there any thing else I need to know & do?

Thanks
Scott

Answer
Yes you have to remove the trans cover to get to the end of the cable.
As to the cartriage. You would have to check witha  harley dealer on that one. I dont use harley parts to reprogram the EMC. I have a aftermarket system.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
