Motorcycle Repair: 883 to 1200 conversion, compression piston, sportster 883

i have a 06 sportster 883,and i am going to do a 1200 conversion as you sugested in a prevoius question. instead of the andrew n4 cams, i had already purchased the screaming eagle cams with 551 lift.my question is,can i have a machine shop install the larger 1200 size valves in my heads to make it breath better and take better advantage of the cams rather than spending big bucks on 1200 heads ? i also noticed that weisco makes a 10.1 piston also for the swap, that still says no head work nessary.would this increased compression piston work better with the cams and head rework ? thanks

You can have them install the valves as long as they know what they are doing. Then you need to check clearences on the valves as well as cleanence on the valves to pistons.
Incresing compression will give you some more horses, down side you would have to use high test fuel or you will get pinging. Also harder the start.
