Motorcycle Repair: 2006 XL1200C, loose nuts, head bolts

Great site, Can you list what they do at a 1000 mile service besides checking for loose nuts and changing trans and oil? Would like to do most myself cause don't trust the shop where I bought. Weekend semi-mechanic.

All bolts are checked, except for head bolts. All cables are checked for adjustment. Belt and primary chain are adjusted. Battery and charging system are checked. Brakes and tires are checked. Fluids are checked. Oil, filter, and primary are chenged
