Answer
Ron,

I'm sitting at a desk with tech references and resources. I have to try and diagnose your motorcycle's problems without being there to inspect it.

It's helpful to know things such as...

Did problem happen suddenly or come on gradually?
Did engine make any noises or run differently?
Repair history or last tune-up?
Engine modifications?
Performance parts?
Type of spark plug?
Appearance of plug? Wet fouled? Black/sooty? Arc present?
Premix ratio?
Race gas or pump fuel?
Was the KX stored for any periods?
Any gas additives used?
Race or personal use?
Recent crashes with damaged parts?

Anything you can add helps with diagnosis.

Or... if you just want to know about specifications and testing procedures, get a copy of the service manual. It's all in there. It's the best investment you can make into your KX. And I highly recommend spending the extra $$ to get Kawasaki's manual.

After you have the service manual and still need assistance, feel free to ask me or the other techs questions.

Respectfully,
Mark Shively
