Motorcycle Repair: upgrade per apes and cables, clutch cable, heritage softail

i plan to install apes on my 06 heritage softail,i know i can do it per cables,etc. "BUT" the clutch cable installment.thats were i get werry is it hard to install? after all the bike is brand new.the hd dealer wants $650.00 labor cost.grand total $1225.00 parts and labor..should i try it myself.

Your clutch cable install is not that hard. You need to remove the trans cover on the right side of the bike. Once you have it off you can see hows its attached. You will probably have to remove the exhaust to get to the cover.
