Motorcycle Repair: 2004 XL1200C pipes, dyna jet, best bet

I am new at this so bear with me. I have an 2006 XL1200C and would like to make it louder. Horse power would be nice but I am mostly concerned with sound. I looked at V&H slip on, taking the baffles out of my mufflers, full sets of pipes (very expencive). How can you guide me and will I have to rejett no matter what I do?

Your best bet is the slipons. They are already tuned. If you punch holes in the baffles you will not get it perfect.
Any way you go you need to rejet.
Install a Dyna-jet kit and that is tune it. It will give you better throttle responce also.
