Motorcycle Repair: 2001 Night train, few more miles, night train

The engine light is on and it seems to be running on only one cylinder.  I take the seat off, wiggle wires and it is usually fine for a few more miles (enough to get me home).  I have an extended service plan and have taken it to 2 different dealers and they can't seem to "duplicate" the problem.   My guess is that they take the seat off and wires fall into place and it stops while they ride it one mile around the block so they think there is nothing wrong with it.  Any suggestions?

You have a short somewhere and until its found you are going to have the same problem. As to where it is is hard to say, but it sounds like its in the ignition system. I would have the dealer keep the bike and god for a long ride until they find it.
