I have a 89 xlh with a 883 evo and have developed a vibraiion. All motor mounts are tight.tires are good .frame is not cracked. While sitting and at about 1500 to 2000 rpms the front wheel vibrates.

         thanks don

Answer -
Most all sportsters have a vibration since the motor is solid mounted. The motor vibrates and passes it along to the frame and then to you. The only thing that could be causing the vibration is the flywheels are a little out of balance. I would wouldnt worry about it unless it starts getting worse.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike I should have mentioned the vibration just started. thanks don

Answer
If the vibration is not bad I would worry about it. But if it gets bad then you are goiing to have to do some motor work. Since you are sitting still and you getting a vibration, then the only thing it can be is the motor. You would have to start tearing it down until you find the problem
Good luck and happy riding
