how do i take it off

Answer
On the switch knob there is a button under it. To remove it first turn the ignition switch key to UNLOCK and then turn the knob to ACCESS. Depress the button with a smal screwdriver and while pushing the key down turn it 60 degrees counterclockwise. Lift it up and remove it.
Now you have to remove the fairing cover to get to the switch.
Remove the nut on top of the switch as well as the collar and spacer. Go inside and unplug and remove the screws which hold the switch down
