Car is parked in P, but the steering lock is locked and the wheel wont turn when you try and turn the ignition key.

Is there pressure on the front wheels as the car is parked up against a curb? If so you may try jacking the front wheels off the ground. If no pressure then the ignition lock cylinder is bad and will need to be replaced. If you eventually get the key to turn, on the top of the lock there is a small hole that you place the key in the accessory position and insert a pin in the hole to release the cylinder and replace it. If that fails you may try to drill out the lock, or have the column replaced.
