Motorcycle Repair: Replacing a Kick Start with Electric Start, honda 4 stroke, electric starters

Question
Is this a huge problem or relatively easy on an older Honda 4 stroke -- I think it is a 350?

I don't know exactly what it is so sorry for the vague question.  I hoped there would be generic answer that would apply to a variety of bikes.

Answer
Ken, that is kind of a "how big is a fish?" question.

Every bike is different...  Honda built 4 stroke single dirt bikes XL350s, twins SL350s (which came with electic starters in the first generation) and CB350Four cylinder street bikes, which came with both electric starters and kickstarters... so I guess it isn't that one. Then there are various ATC/ATV 350s, too!

Electric starter systems are designed at the factory with a large number of specialized parts... starter motor, solenoid, heavy duty batter, starter clutch or gear train set, etc.....

In all probability the answer is yes... it is a huge problem and no it isn't relatively easy....

And "older" is a relative term, too!
