Suzuki: 97 suzukisidekick clutch cable, clutch cable, bell housing

Question
QUESTION: I started to have trouble getting my car in gear, so I adjusted the clutch cable a little.. the it started to do it again... adjusted it some more... then the clutch peddle broke off... welded it worked for a week then stated to do it all over again. Now the cable broke!!... What could be causing the clutch to bind? any help would be great.

ANSWER: The most important question is whether the pedal effort was abnormally high as compared with other Sidekicks, therefore pointing toward the original cause.
It's possible, and entirely probable that the cable was failing, and was the prime original cause of all the other problems.  The other is that there are issues within the bell housing with the clutch proper.
With a new cable, is it still binding?  If so you should suspect internal clutch parts.

QUESTION: no the peddle seemed to be the same. tightening the nuts for slack in the peddle would make it easier to sift for a week or so then it would be back to not working again.

Answer
Based on your answer, I'm of the opinion that the cable was going bad, and the pedal breakage was a consequence of pressing the pedal hard at the end of it's travel.  You need a new cable, so install it and monitor what is happening, and if no further malfunctions occur, that is verification of a "CRT & Keyboard" diagnosis.
